Isn't this card beautiful. Gosh thats nerve huh . Well I like it. I made this card for my friend . She is special and goes out of her way to help people. She is our Stampin Up Demonstrator and does a great job. She is also very talented. I ordered some supplies from this company called Crafty Secrets. I fell in love with their Heart Warming Vintage Cuts The photo on the card is from there. I had some great paper in a book I had from "Hot off the Press" called "For Girls to Women". I used a store bought plain maroon card and layered it with a tan card stock and a printed pattern with maroon flowers. I used a piece of see through paper right down the center and cut a piece of card stock just large enough to be able to fit the picture and to punch the design along the edge before gluing it to the see through paper. I placed brads on the lower right and at the top over the ribbon. I glued the ribbon across the layered cards before placing it on the card itself. I mad the bow and then attatched the charm at the base of the bow. I used another vintage card inside the card pertaining to friends . My friend loved it.

No they don't look like the traditional Easter basket but I don't think the Easter Bunny will mind the difference. These I made for 3 of my grandsons. They are Tate , Taylor and Daylon. I think they willbe delighted with the treats. These are plain bags that you can purchase at Wal Mart or the craft stores. I used cardstock specialty paper using the designs on the large side and then the top and bottom with solids. Each bag has a different picture on the bag. Theses are layered and brads hold the cards together. I tied a bow at the top pf each bag and we are ready to go. Happy Easter Boys

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

You can't make a card easier than this . My boss has an anniversary coming up on April 1st. Now that leaves the door open for all kinds of cards but I figured I'd be nice and go traditional. This page was in one of the books that I bought called Heritage by "Hot off the Press". I cut the lower left hand corner to fit the bottom of the card and glued in place. I them stamped a wedding cake on the printed section of the paper and colored the flowers with Stampin Up pens . I cut it out and glued it to the same patterned section with dimentions . I also cut the flowers at the bottom and put it on dimentions to give some debth tothe flowers. I printed the verse on my computer and then used the small scalloped opal punch to put it on and again used dimentions. I attached a bow in a ribbon to match the colors of the card and attached a wedding cake charm. It really came out great.

I don't always craft on my weekends. This is a "bonding weekend" for my sisters and I. It just so happened one sister could not attend and my daughter took her place. We are six girls in my family and we don't see each other every day so this is a chance to get together and hang out. We love to fish and be near the water so on this trip we are at my boss's camp. We were not to anxious to get into the bayou water so we brought along 6 baby pools , filled them with water and had them on the warf. You are never to old to sit in a pool of water to cool off and pass the afternoon. We had a great time listening to the radio, fishing every now and then and sitting in the pools to cool off when the sun got to hot. It is so relaxing and we talk about our childhood or just do what we feel like doing. Some like to read, come to sleep and we snack on what ever food we don't allow ourselves to have when we are home. We have been fortunate to do this for 3 years in a row and hope to continue. Family is to important to take for granted and we have to let each other know we are still important to each other.

FIRST COMMUNION

We have another event that will be taking place right around Easter time. First Communion. My grandson is going to be making his first on April the 10th. That just happens to be his birthday to. Isn't that great. Making his first committment to Jesus and its on the same day he entered this world. I wanted to make something special for him. I used a pre cut card approximately 5" X 7". I cut one Navy blue card to measure 1/4 smaller than the card. Next I used the Cuttle Bug and stamped a design with swirls on it on a white card stock. I used the corner trip and cut the corners of this card piece. I then cut a smmaller navy card about 4" X 3 1/2 ". I used one of my edge punches from Michaels and punched the heart trip along the bottom edge. On top of that card I placed a piece of white cardstock that I had stamped with some clear plastic stamps of the swirls randomly. I attached it to the blue card. I cut another blue card 4 3/4" by 3". I also stamped the picture of the little boy angel in center of a piece of white card stock, colored him with chalk and then cut him out in detail. I placed him on a piece of white card stock that I had punched a scalloped edge. I glued the little angel to the card with dementions . The other cards were glued on in layers and I added the little self stick pearls at the four corners. Across the top I put some white ribbon that says "Congratulations" on it . Later I also added a small silver cross charm to the card to the right of the picture. The Stamp is from Whiff Of Joy.

MONEY POCKET CARD

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE THAT ONE CHILD THAT YOU WANT TO GIVE MONEY TO INSTEAD OF ALL THAT CANDY. THIS CARD IS FOR YOU AND IS VERY EASY TO MAKE. I USED PREPACKAGED LONG PLAIN COLORED CARDS. I USED SPRING COLORS AND USING CARD STOCK AGAIN I CUT A PIECE OF LIME GREEN AND EDGED THE BORDER WITH ANOTHER PUNCH FROM MARTHA STEWART AND PUNCHED DOWN BOTH SIDES. I PLACED A PINK AND GREEN PLAID CARD STOCK IN THE CENTER. I HAD SOME EASTER STAMPS AND USED A RABBIT AND A CUTE LITTLE DUCK . I COLORED BOTH WITH STAMPIN UP PENS. THE CENTER GREETING I USED A PLAIN CIRCLE PUNCH AND A SCALLOPED PUNCH STAMPING THE WHITE CARD STOCK AND PUTTING IT IN THE CENTER OF THE GREEN PUNCH. I MOUNTED THE DUCK AND RABBIT ON DEMENTIONS . ON THE INSIDE OF THE CARD I USED MY SEWING MACHINE AND PICKED A DESIGN THAT LOOKED LIKE A EASTER EGGS AND ATTACHED A POCKET TO PLACE THE MONEY. I WROTE A GREETING ON THE POCKET.

EASTER BLESSINGS GREETING CARD

I thought I would start with this Easter Blessings for my first card. The stamp I used is "A kind word" from Stampin up. The card was made with textures cardstock from "The Paper Studio". I cut the card 5 1/8" wide and measure 7" to mark the fold so the card opens 7" top to bottom. I then cut a purple piece measuring 1/8 smaller than the card itself. Next a pink piece again 1/8 smaller than the purple and the same with the green . I stamped the design on Whisper white card stock from Stampin Up. I colored the picture using water colors from Stampin up. I cut her out very carefully afterwards and glued her to another sheet of white card stock using deminisions. I used another stamp I had of little chicks and after coloring them with chalk I cut them out and placed them on deminisions and placed them near her feet. I used a punch from Michaels to showcase the stamped art. I next start layering . I glued the pink ribbon (5/8") across the green piece. On top of the green and the ribbon I glued the white card on. In the corner of the card I used little self stick pearls. I used another stamp for the greeting in purple. One of my relatives will be delighted with this card for Easter.
