Ms. Susan G. is being extra artistic on this challenge. She has done a great job layering and lets the card speak for itself.  Such a clever idea and shows that "thinking outside the box" can work really well.  She has demonstrated that not everyone has to follow the same rule when designing a card and yet still retain all the elements.  That's why we chose her as our leader in crafting cards.

Ok here is Pat. G's card for the challenge. She followed the design to the letter.  Using the tall giraffe for the center box was just right and the lion lying in the grass fit with the theme .  The circle is just to show what they eat .  It was fun and not hard to make .  I think she did ok.

These cards I made for my grandsons. The one on the left is for Tate and the right for Taylor.  Both boys like to color anything and everything or draw.  They seemed pleased with the cards and know I make them.  Happy Easter Everyone.

OhhhhhhKkkkkkk.  Challenge for the Easter Weekend.  Like I am going to drop everything and go  make a card.  Yeah uh hun.  Right.  Ya'll may not hear from me for a few days .  I see below that Paula H. has submitted her card.  I think she also suggested this challenge  (before or after you made the card , fess up girl.)  All right!  I am going make my card even if I am up till midnight.
Paula H. you just brighten my day.  I love all the colors and its so spring.  I just admire how everything gos together and the colors just make the whole card POP. Awesome work.  Looking forward to the next.  Happy Easter.

Dee B.  you have done it again.  Her challenge card this week is layered and she used the bark design on the bottom card which relates to the tree itself.  Her tree is in foliage and her flowers bring that out along with her banner and the border.  Great card Dee.  You are very clever.  You hide your talent.

Such vibrant colors for Susan's challenge.  It is all so well placed it draws your eyes all over.  Those birdies set the theme with music and spring time flowers.  What a great Anniversary Card.

Earline T. has submitted a great Easter card for her challenge of the week.  Her color pallet is perfect for the season.  The banner brings all the colors of Easter eggs left by the bunny.  A delightful card for an Easter gift.  Great job Earline.

Answering the new challenge

Patricia G. could not wait any longer.  The challenge was bugging her.  Having no idea where to start she kept messing around with card scraps she was sorting and it just fell into place.  Its layered like the challenge card design and brads were used instead of flowers.  To pieces of a tool set had to be added as tractors seem
to always need adjustments.  The wording seems to fit the season and some guy would like this card for Easter or Father's Day.

CARD CHALLENGE FOR MARCH 30-APRIL 3RD.

This is the new challenge for the week.  It is a clean design and hopefully we will have some awesome cards.  This card group knows how to create beautiful cards and some are so interesting.  We are surprised for each challenge and looking forward to this one.

This card is done by Dee. B.  She used great spring colors and has done a wonderful job.  Her card is layered and the cross is put on stick ups.  A beautiful card for Easter.  Well done Dee.  You do great cards.

Fill your Easter Baskets

Susan G. needed three Easter cards and I think you
will appreciate them all.  She is so creative  and her designs are proof of this.  This design has a greeting that was been worked into the design and is so appropriate as the stitching seems to grow around the whole card.  How cute the tiny chicks are and that decorative egg is the final touch.  The bow makes it a perfect gift.
Again here is the 2nd of Susan G.'s cards.  Using the same basic idea she used the flowers across the top and the little centers match the chicks and her yellow background for her greeting.  Wouldn't you like one of these in your Easter Basket?

I can picture the bunny now .  It will love this 3rd card.  How cute is the carrots for the background and the green  brings the clover to mind.  This little orange brads look like candy .  Susan, you have done it again .  This is a great card You are so clever.

This is an anniversary card designed by Mary P.  She has combined green and pink which are great spring colors for her card.  The hearts have scalloped edges and are layered and emblished  with a delightful charm in the center.  Her butterfly is an added touch of spring.  Great card Mary.

Again another card designed by Mary P.  It is another anniversary card but this butterfly speaks for itself.  Its a great design and her background design makes it all go together.  A great card for any occasion.  Again great job Mary.

more enteries in the challenge.

What a great card.  The colors are so striking and such an original idea.  You brads add the right amount of interest in this card and the flower is highlighted with the dark background.  Great great job Paula H.

Earline T.  your card is playful from the start.  You did a great job and placed your design width wise instead of upright and it looks perfect.   Your choice of polka dots will delight any child  and your choice of stamp set is perfect.  Earline won this stamp set at one of the groups card meetings.  Nice, nice nice Earline.

This entry challenge is done by Paula H.The mail boxes are such a neat idea and done so neatly.  Paula brought in the purple, gold and pink challenge really well.  That map in the back ground is great for long distance communication with a pen pal.  Love the card.

Dee B. is welcoming Spring with the sweet butterflies.  I can see them now swarming over the azalea bushes and bridal wreath plants .  A sure sign that spring is one its way.  Great job Dee.

More weekend challenge

Both these cards were designed by Debra for the weekend challenge.  It seems Debra can read the future and had designed the card on the left before she knew about the challenge.  The card on the right is her challenge card.  Both are done very well and took time and thought.  She was creative with the grass stamp and using the same color as her layers.  The word background just highlights the type writer perfectly.  What attractive cards  that will be enjoyed by anyone.

New weekend challenge 3/27-28-29/15

This is the challenge for the weekend of 3/27-28-29/15

This card is made by Patricia G.  She chose pink for the Easter Season.  The card is layered with a pink stripped background.  The chair is from a stamp set stamped on light pink ,colored with pencil colors and cute out,  It is mounted on stick up.  The egg is stamped, cut out again and mounted with stick up. Dotted pink tops the card with brads as is the greeting on the bottom.

Patricia was in a playful mood and could not resist the egret stamp embossed on vellum using white powder and then cut out.  The tree is hand sketched and the little birds come from another stamp set.  The happy frog is from her collection of stamps.

More card challenges for the sisters

This Card was made by Earline T.  Such a clean looking card with the colors highlighting the card itself.  The embossing is really nice on the blue tag and adding the blue ribbon is a nice embellishment to bring out the blue flowers .  The doily brings in the background and joins the card together.  Great job Earline.

This card is by Patricia G.  Her base is beige and cream .  There is an overlay of stamped vellum (stamped with the green ivy).  the vellum was embossed with white embossing powder and then colored in with colored pencil.  A ribbon as tacked on behind the buggy and cut out butterflies were attached at random.
This design was created by Debra O.  She has used her beautiful flower stamp as the highlight of her card.  It is placed on navy card stock and then attached to the blue embossed card.  Her background paper  design pulls the whole card together.  The bow draws your attention to the greeting which is attached with stick ups.  Very ornate card Debra .  A delightful greeting for the receiver.

This card was also done by Debra O.  She used all muted shades to give the card an aged look.  I can see this discovered in some ship captain's log book  as a treasure sent by a loved one.  Another great job Deb.

Know a friend getting married?  This card was made by Patricia G.  It was a simple design , circles  and ribbon.  She used three different stamps in the circles and attached stones on the designer paper used for the background.  Nice greeting for a couple.

Susan G. was in a creative mood when she did this card.  So much to look at.  It can be used for a child or an adult. Any one would be delighted to receive this card with any greeting on it.
This attractive card is perfect for a man in your life.  Mary  P. did a great job  Her background and the mechanical design of this card would be well received by any gentleman.  Great colors and imagination.

What a great card done by Dee B.  It is the Holy time of the year when we praise God for his death on the cross.  Dee did an awesome job showing the dark clouds that were present on that day.  This card is very moving and would be welcomed for the Easter Holiday.

Debra O. did this cute card.  The snails are delivering their gifts.  It is great as a birthday card and could also be a Easter card.  She used the color challenge and came up with a great card.

Challenges for Susans Stamping Sisters

This card was made by Patricia G.  It was a color challenge.  She used three stamps to create her design and then used colored pencils to color the scene.  It could be for a child or an adult male.

Susan G. did this color challenge.  She needed a gift card and this was her design.  It is perfect for her craft and shows how she worked  this out.  Such a cute label for any gift.

This was a color challenge done by Patricia G.  She used sponges to smear the purple and orange.  She used pink for the swirls and orange for the greeting.  The butterflies are made with vellum that was smeared with purple ink and then cut out and placed on the card with dots.  The stones outline the body.  Did not take very long and looks good.

Earline did this card for the circle challenge.  It is a great baby  card and the button and the little animal make it perfect for any child.  Good job Earline.

Dee B. did this layered color challenge card.  She did a great job and everything just fits together.  Another pretty card by Dee.

Susan G. was very clever with this card.  She used LSU colors for this shape challenge.  The greeting is so cute for us dog lovers or anyone that owns a pet.  Thanks for thinking of our four footed family members.

Both the card to the left and the card below were done by Earline T.  She did a great job.  Her card to the left is perfect for dropping a line to a friend.

This card says Congratulations and could be for any occasion.  It could be formal, dress up or a special day.  Its neat and says the greeting with feeling.

This wedding card is done by Debra O. and is very elegant.  She has scallops, beading and flowers .  She has done a great job of layering this card and any newly wed would love to get this.

Susan G needed an "Anniversary card" and did a great job on this creation.  Her shading of the leaves really catches the eye and has a calming effect.  The love birds make it peaceful and any couple would be glad to receive this card.

The fisherman in your family will delight in this card. The fish are stamped on 3 levels and just waiting for the right bait.  The fishing line is below waiting to be put to use.  Enjoy your trip .

This Confirmation card is made by Earline T.  She did a great job with the colors and layering.  It shows her time was well spent designing and making this card for someone special.
