CARD FROM THAT. I MADE THE CARD IN THE BLUE GRAY. NEXT I CUT A PIECE ABOUT A QUARTER OF AN INCH SMALLER IN THE PRINTED PAPER. AGAIN I CUT ANOTHER BLUE GRAY PIECE -AGAIN A QUARTER OF AN INCH SMALLER. I HAD A LIGHT TAN CARD STOCK THAT MATCHED THE ENVELOPE AND THE BACK GROUND OF THE DESIGNED PAPER. I CUT ONE RECTANGULAR STIP OF THE PRINTED PAPER TO FIT THE WIDTH OF THE CARD. NEXT I CUT TWO THIN STRIPS TO LAYER ACROSS EACH OTHER ACROSS THE TOP OF THE CARD. I STAMPED THE LITTLE SANDLES ACROSS THE TOP OF THE CARD . I GLUED THE RECTANGULAR STRIP UNDER THE SANDLES . I STAMPED THE BEACH UNBRELLA AND CHAIR NEAR THE BOTTOM LEAVING ENOUGH ROOM TO MAKE A BEACH EFFECT. I STAMPED THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABOVE THE UNBRELLA STAMPING. I STAMPED THE SET ON THE DESIGN PAPER AND THE BLUE GRAY CARD STOCK SO THAT I COULD USE THE PARTS FOR THE UNBRELLA AND CHAIR. I USED THE PRINT FOR THE TOP OF THE UNBRELLA AND THE SOLID FOR THE UNDERSIDE OF THE UNBRELLA. ON THE CHAIR I USED THE PRINT TO MAKE A DESIGN IN THE BEACH CHAIR . I USED CHALK TO MAKE THE WATER AND THE SAND, BLENDING THE COLORS. I ALSO DID THE SAME WITH THE SUN AND SKY. . I ATTACHED TWO CHARMS TO THE CARD, A STARFISH AT THE CROSS MARK OF THE THE BLUE STRIPS AND THE SMALL SAIL BOATS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CARD. THE INSIDE GREETING IS ON THE TAN CARD STOCK OVER THE PRINTED PAPER. I ALSO USED STAMPS OF A CRAB, SANDLES, FISH AND A BIRTHDAY GREETING. I LIKE DESIGNING MY OWN CARDS AND JUST WORK WITH SOME CARD STOCK IN FRONT OF ME AND GO FROM THERE.

THT055 COLOR CHALLENGE FOR TREE HOUSE STAMPS
THTO55 COLOR CHALLENGE FOR TREE HOUSE STAMPS. One of my best friends daughter is expecting her first baby. This color challenge was perfect since we don't know the sex of the baby. I used Potpourri card stock for everything. I used pink for the card itself. I cut the moss green card stock about a quarter of an inch smaller than the pink card and attached it to the pink card. I cut two scalloped pieces of card stock using oval stampabilities on the Cuttle Bug, white for the top layer and pink for the lower. I stamped the dress design on the white card stock and then again on the yellow. I cut out the yellow dress and attached it to the white card with dimentions. I attached the white card to the pink with dimentions . I used a moss green color pen from SampinUp to apply dots to the white card. I used the white pen to apply the white dots on the pink card stock. At the top I used the same yellow card stock and using a rectangle stampabilities I cut the piece I needed for the verse. I attached that with dimentions and on the top of the rectangle I glued small baby buttons with sticky dots. Across the card I glued a piece of ribbon that had Congratulations printed on it. Inside the card I again used the same color card stock moss green and white. I used another stamp of a pregnant woman and used another greeting inside on the white. I like the card and so pleased the way it came out.

Well Crafters I guess I just can't quit. Does anyone need a Mother's Day Card? Ha. Her is another one. I used pink textured card stock to fit the envelope size I had. I used a shade of paper to compliment the pink and using a punch I put a scalloped edge to the top of the paper. I glued it in place and the put a ribbon across the bottom. I cut out the picture I used from a Busy Scrapper's Solution book by Hot off the Press. I put the rectangular picture onto a piece of pink card stock and mounted it onto the ribbon . I cut another piece of card stock to fit on top of the rectangle and cut the scalloped edge on that to. I glued a round picture on that. Now I needed something for the top of my card . I decided on a heart so I cut two ....one out of the dark paper and another out of the pink card stock (smaller than the dark one so it could fit inside. I glued the two together and using dimensions mounted that to the card. To bring attention to the heart I used the self stick pearls all around the edge of the heart and stamped the Mother's Day greeting. The heart just look to plain so I added the flowers . I used "dots" to glue the flowers to the card and placed buttons in the center . Luck was with me and I found one button with a attractive bronze like circle around a button that matched the paper perfectly so I used that in the center. The pink bow was next and I used two decorative pins that I inserted on each side cutting off the tips so no one get "Picked". I had the word "love" from a decorative packet of buttons from Michaels and added it below the heart for a finishing touch. The card is complete.
